Over the years, my long hair has become somewhat of comfort blanket. My signature, if you like. Last April I decided it was time to bite the bullet and have it all chopped off. I loved it! But.. the need to have long hair prevails and it’s now well and truly on it’s way back.
Looking at photos, I was shocked at how straggly the ends looked when it got really long, so I’ve been a little more conscious of taking better care of my hair. With that in mind, what better excuse to treat myself to some slick new products from OUAI by Jen Atkin.
Although everyone has been raving about the oil and salt spray, I plumped for the treatment masque and dry shampoo; intense conditioning plus less washing required is always a winner!
The treatment masque is incredible, I cannot rave about this enough! The box contains 8 sachets for £25, however it’s more like 16 uses as you only really need half a sachet a time. After normal shampooing, pop the masque in and leave for 10 mins before rinsing out. My hair felt so soft and silky and looked crazy shiny, I’m definitely going to be using this again and again.
I think I still need to get used to the dry shampoo. It smells lovely, but it doesn’t seem to work in quite the same way as a standard dry shampoo. When I sprayed it into my roots, it felt extremely light and there were no white marks which is great (brunettes know the struggle here!) but it didn’t seem to make my hair look less oily. I’m sure I just need to get the hang of it, so will stick with it, even if only for the smell!
I want to try all of the OUAI products! If you have any recommendations I would love to hear them!
