• The Food Gallery, Marlborough

Waking up to a very rainy bank holiday Monday meant we had to re-think our plans a little. Deciding to stay a bit closer to home and with coffee on the brain, we headed to Marlborough.

Despite the rain, the highstreet was busy as usual. Jumping puddles and dodging umbrellas, we quickly dipped into one of my favourite little coffee spots, The Food Gallery.  Checkout the menu, they make the best coffee and offer delicious breakfast, lunch and cake options! Coffee and brownie ordered, we nestled into the cosy window to watch the world go by..

Obviously had to get my favourite summer accessory in the shot too!   They make a mean Australian Flat White, always my caffeine hit of choice.

With the rain showing no signs of easing, we decided to embrace it and went for a walk.

    Walking in the rain

I recently picked up this grey waistcoat from Topshop and white blouse from Zara. Maybe not the best outfit for wet weather but thankfully I had my trusty umbrella to hand! Marlborough is very pretty and  ^ this backdrop was a perfect match for my monochrome outfit.

Even under the dull grey skies, it’s doesn’t lose any of it’s vibrancy!

Tucked away off the highstreet is the most beautiful Home & Design shop, Neptune. Definitely worth a visit even if just for inspiration! I’ve had my eye on some jumbo mugs for a while and with Autumn seemingly fast approaching it seemed like the perfect time to purchase.

Ideal for when you want to snuggle inside, shelter from the rain and update your blog… happy bank holiday!
