If you’re travelling to Florence, there is one Pizzeria you have to visit.
Forget fancy restaurants with posh menu’s, this place is as simple as it comes and it’s fantastic!
Gusta is a tiny little place that sits on Via Maggio, a road down from the impressive Ponte Vecchio (the bridge that houses the glittering windows of Florences’ jewelers and art dealers).
Keep your eyes peeled because you could easily miss this place! And it gets busy, theres often a queue out of the door along the side of the building. Luckily for our hungry bellies we got there at just the right time..
Theres a simple menu, 7 options in total and very inexpensive! Order at the counter, collect your ticket & watch the magic happen.
Pizza’s are created right infront of your eyes with fresh ingredients and cooked in the traditional word-burning stone oven.
And in no time at all..et voilà! Your magic number is called! If you’re lucky you might even get one of their famous hearts..
Classic margherita. DELICIOUS!
And when you’re done, you can stroll back over the bridge taking in all the twinkling lights of Florence.
